CHENG Ting-ting

CHENG Ting-ting (b. 1990) was born in Hong Kong. She mainly works with painting and drawing. She completed her MA in Fine Arts from the University of Bergen, Norway, in 2021. During her postgraduate study, she extended her work to printmaking, revolving around lithography and intaglio. In 2022, she completed the Advanced Specialist Course (Printmaking) at Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre.


Cheng is intrigued by the ineloquent quality that painting possesses. Her works usually begin with a state of obscurity. Following the interplay between strokes and materials, the intangibles form into shapes. Through the painting process, she slowly unfolds the elusiveness and absurdity of daily life.
