Cats bring not just happiness and warmth to humans (sometimes with scratches and bites), but also good health and fortune this New Year!

In celebration of the Year of the Tiger, Hong Kong Open Printshop and Hong Kong Open Press are proud to present the "Lucky Meow Pop Up Card".

Team Cat from Hong Kong Open Printshop printed the lucky meows using the two Heidelberg Windmill Platen Presses. These two presses were manufactured in the 1960s and have been used by local printers for over half a century. They retain the spirit of Hong Kong printing masters and have now been handed down to a new generation of letterpress artisans.

There are two lucky meows in each pack of "Lucky Meow Pop Up Card ". The pure black cat "Ah Yong" (bravery) and the ginger white cat "Ah Fu" (good fortune) belong to set A, and will bring you good fortune and help fight the virus; the ginger tabby cat "阿食"(abundance of food) and the calico cat "阿金"(wealth) belong to set B, which will bring ample food and wealth.

The pop-up card design allows you to turn the card into a decoration. The inner page can be used to write blessings for your friends and family or to write your new year's wishes. The proceeds from this fundraising event will go to supporting the development of Hong Kong Open Press. Your contribution will enable us to preserve print art culture and local cultural heritage.
