Between the Lines I

From a distance, it appears to be an image, but up close, it is revealed to be an intricate composition of Chinese characters. The printing plate is composed of nearly 4,000 lead movable types, with small No.6 Chinese types roughly equivalent to 8-point English types. Sorted by the number and density of their strokes, these tiny characters serve as pixels of varying shades of light and shadow, and are composed to form the image of a movable type featuring the Chinese character "Word".
