Collection: LAM Hiu-man, Anna |

Shuuuuuuu, where are you from? Fear not, for we all, are the food for worms. The sun burns us and we are evaporated by its fiery warmth. Our shadows burst into Aurora’s tango and Luna’s face. Guided by solar winds, they wander free, Transformed into stones in lands unknown, you see the fates. We do not belong to where we belong. Before the sun gives it a go, please enjoy the last dance against the dying of the light.

Anna LAM Hiu-man is a visual artist who specialises in analogue photography, printmaking and painting. Her images compress the natural landscape and man-made space into a flat time capsule by the lens and black and white film. Inspired by the meticulous and volatile natural colours and the black and white man-made colour palettes, she creates elusive and absurd prints and paintings. Lam believes that there will no longer be pure nature in the world but manufactured. Starting from the perspective of a stranger, she leads the viewer to be perplexed by the huge and fleeting geographical scenery through the narrow prints ridiculously, meanwhile to think that they have already become a part of the landscape unwittingly, and even the “God”.

Previously, her works were shown in group exhibitions including “8x12”(FLOOR_, Seoul, 2021) and “(original)”(WURE AREA, Hong Kong, 2021).
