導師將示範縫線、上膠等手工平裝和精裝書籍裝幀的基本技巧。參加者將會學習四種不同的裝幀結構及技法，認識不同的物料與工具，並於每節完成一本手工書。

四種裝幀方式包括：
1. 雙帖小冊（平裝）
2. 線裝本（精裝）
3. 多帖線裝本（皮革精裝）
4. 裸背裝幀（精裝）

【導師簡介】
蘇柏姿為香港紙本及書籍裝幀藝術家。其作品曾於香港及海外地區展出，包括澳門、新加坡、美國、加拿大、英國、法國和荷蘭。她創作的藝術書《The Staircase》曾於 2018 年加拿大 The Art of the Book 藝術書大賽中獲獎。她的另一本藝術書《Ame Ni Mo Makezu》亦曾於2019年英國書籍裝幀師協會之國際大賽中獲獎。

此外，蘇柏姿曾於多間機構舉辦工作坊，包括香港大學、香港理工大學、香港理工大學專上學院、嶺南大學及大館等。

The beginner's bookbinding workshop consists of 4 classes. In each 3-hour class, students will make one book and gain knowledge of tools and materials. Students will learn to create 4 different book structures by employing various techniques and materials. Soft and hard cover bookmaking using sewing and glueing techniques will be demonstrated.

Four book structures include:
1. Two signature pamphlet stitches (softcover)
2. Stab binding (hardcover)
3. Multiple signature link stitch (hardcover, leather bound)
4. Coptic stitch (hardcover)

[ ABOUT INSTRUCTOR ]
Percy So is an award-winning paper and book artist who lives and works in Hong Kong. Her works have been exhibited widely in Hong Kong and internationally, including Macau, Singapore, the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands. Her artist book “The Staircase” was awarded an honourable mention at the Art of the Book 2018 competition. Her other project, a stone veneer binding “Ame Ni Mo Makezu” was awarded the “Harmatan Leather Award For Forwarding” at the Society of Bookbinders 2019 International Competition in the United Kingdom.

Percy has taught workshops in Hong Kong & Macau at different institutions, namely The Hong Kong University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, PolyU HKCC, Lingnan University & Tai Kwun.
